Drama CD

The Drama CD is an interesting kind of translated space that is only found in Japan. They are essentially Japanese Radio Dramas, many of which are based on video games. I've seen Biohazard, Disgaea, Phantasy Star, Guilty Gear, and many others turned into Drama CDs. It often happens with unexpected series, I mean, Guilty Gear?

Why the hell not Guilty Gear? I mean, with a villain with a name like Sol Badguy, why not have a popcorn tossing radio drama. Of course, I doubt he ties a damsel to a train track like in the old days.

On a more serious note, it's kinda interesting that these seem to mostly be based around cult followings rather than big name titles.

I also have a couple Legend of Zelda drama cds. Also, Guilty Gear has a bigger following in Japan. They actually have concerts centered around GG theme music.

Cult following here probably doesn't mean cult following elsewhere. What games in Japan aren't crossing into other media?

We used to have radio drama in the US, but we got a big scare and a lot of people panicked.
