From Video Game to Traditional Game

Many video games have been converted to CCGs and this practice seems to have picked up recently. WOW, EVE, Pokemon, City of Heroes, Heroes of Might and Magic IV, .hack, Sim City, and Mortal Kombat all got the CCG treatment.

However, making traditional games from video games is by no means a new practice.

Ah. The good old days of Legend of Zelda fruit snacks, the Mario Bros. TV show, and a bowl of Captain Nintend-O's. Yeah. Seems weird in retrospect, but I remember a lot of that when I was a kid. I think it's been going on since there have been kids and franchises. Still, it is surreal looking back.

Heroes of Might and Magic IV I can easily see as a card game. Mortal Kombat...I'm not sure how fun that would be compared to "physically" fighting in a virtual space. If you own some of these, maybe you can bring them to show to the class.
